since i was a freshman or sophomore in high school, i've always loved designing resumes. i'd repeatedly design my resume and the resumes of any friend looking for a job.

in a service that spread completely through word of mouth and one post on linkedin, i ended up designing over 80 resumes. the majority were fellow college students at the university of washington, but a good amount were professionals.

it was a lot of fun to intuit what i knew about a person, what their professional goals were, and the constraints of the page; and use that to decide typefaces, a grid, layout, and spacing.
